Scarborough Mitch Triolo hit a fly ball with the bases loaded to score Milton Nathan DeSouza with the winning run as Ontario defeated upstart Saskatchewan 3 2. 7 6 in the semifinal on Nolan Benesh bases clearing double, and beating Quebec 4 3 on Jonathan Harpestad fine pitching in quarterfinal play.Ontario reached the final as right handers Michael Clouthier and Dayton Dawe combined on a one hitter blanking Manitoba 2 0 in the semifinal. Guelph Clouthier pitched five innings, walking four and striking out three. London Dawe took over with a man on in the sixth with the game scoreless.Dawe allowed a two out single after a walk, bringing the potential lead run to the plate. Dawe got a ground ball out and Ontario moved to the gold medal game.Ontario broke up the scoreless game in the sixth when Bruce Yari and Toby Handley singled and Triolo hit a two run single.Saskatchewan scored a pair in the first of the gold medal game on Jager Toffan triple.Maple Zac Sardellitti homered in the second and Windsor Jake Lumley singled in the tying run in the fifth setting the stage for the bottom of the seventh.With one out, DeSouza walked, Windsor Jacob Robson and Lumley singled to load the bases for Triolo.Port Hope Cal Quantrill restored order taking over in the third, did not allow a run or a hit.
